I decided to try something fun. I took the plunge and I am entering a photo contest at I Heart Faces.  It's my first entry on their blog.  It's a pretty fun website for photographers of all levels and they actually host a photo contest every week.  This week the theme is Paper. I immediately thought of one of my favorite albums of my girls sitting at the kitchen table creating art together.  They are painting on canvas paper...two of Lela's favorite things to do..spending time with her big sis and painting.  Here it is:

 

 

Kicking It 1940s Starlet Style in Studio - Omaha Professional Photographer

Earlier this month I photographed Lynette in studio with a 1940's twist.  Today I thought I would share some of the fun ones with you. :)

We had such a FUN time.  This is probably one of my favorite sessions to date.  Lynette really embodied softness and femininity throughout the session and I fell in love with the frames!  It really makes me want to explore this a bit more. I think I might be inspired to do a personal project.  You can view more of Lynette's lovely images here. 

Early Evening Session - Omaha Professional Photographer

I thought I would share an image or two from a super fun session I had with a great couple.  They took advantage of the Limited Edition Mini-Session and scheduled their time slot for the very end of the day.  We rocked it out!  I could have photographed these two all day long. :D 

Color or Black & White? { Omaha, NE Professional Photographer }

Awhile back you may remember this post.  I asked you, my readers, which image was preferred...black and white or color?  I'm revisting that today.  What say you?  I tend to lean towards the black and white images when it comes to portraits, especially headshots.  For me, I fee they are more classy and the eye does not stray from the subject or roam around the image as much.  I can appreciate color. I just love black and white. 

Today's image is a photo of Lynette taken on my front porch this past Sunday.  She was a big help as my assistant on the fun urban sessions I did downtown in the Omaha Old Market.  Those images will be shared in a later blogpost.  For now, which do you prefer?  The black and white portrait (my fave) or does the color one do it for you?
