As I mentioned just minutes ago on my 365 blog (RIP), I am going to be overhauling this main blog of mine. I intend to use this space for both personal and professional use-- I will be sharing projects from work and projects from home, blogging about things I like to use while on the job and fun projects I like or the girls like to do at home. I hope you stick around and enjoy the changes that will be going on around here. Happy Wednesday!
And because it is Wordless Wednesday- or in this case NOT so Wordless Wednesday- here is an image that I photographed last night before the storm.

Black and White Image {Omaha Professional Photographer}
I went downtown a couple of days ago with Lynette (a photographer friend) and Imagene (my camera-that's right, she's got a name *wink*) to visit a couple galleries and take in the sights at the Old Market. I knew when Lynette asked me if I wanted to go that I would definitely be bringing Imagene along with me. The Old Market is one of my favorite places to shoot; I really enjoy street photography and the Old Market is, in general, a very picturesque place. Anyway, on this particular day I photographed the inside of the Jackson Street Booksellers Bookstore (with permission, of course) and ended up with an image that I shared on my 365 blog. This photograph has been haunting me. It seems to be demanding more attention from me so I am caving in and it is getting another whole blog post over here on this blog.
When I photographed this area of the bookstore I was first drawn to sheer amount of books and all their different colored spines and how they covered the walls like fine adornments and seemed to wrap around the space endlessly. This is where the nag started. I knew when I was composing the shot that although I was drawn to the color originally, I might be seeing in black and white. I came home, downloaded the photograph and converted it to black and white. I fell in love.... *but* ...... I posted the image in color because I was trying to be true to all those colored spines. Now, I feel compelled to share with you the same image in black and white. Which one do you prefer? Why?

What's your opinion? {Omaha Professional Photographer}
Do you follow my 365 blog, too? If so, just the other day I blogged about waiting in the school parking lot to pick up my children. I had taken my camera that day to pass the time. Something I probably will do more often as I find myself snapping pictures with my cellphone to pass the time quite regularly and let's face it, those aren't the greatest quality images. ;) Which reminds me of that anonymous quote I read the other day that went something like this:...'photography is like a disease once it enters your bloodstream'...or something to that affect. I am definitely addicted to the camera. :) Anyway, in that blog, I did not share an image with either of my girls because I said that would be too predictable (you can view that blog entry here ). Here is one of the images that I did take that afternoon. It is a headshot of my youngest. Now, before you take a look at the eyecandy I have a quick question. Just for fun, which do YOU prefer? The black and white or the color? I am a little partial to both (*shocking* I am the mom) but I do have my favorite. Leave me a comment and tell me whether you prefer the color image of the black and white photograph. I'm interested in your opinion.
